The 2023 Accountability Incubator is looking for the very best ideas from young people for accountability, participation and open government. The Incubator is Accountability Lab’s flagship program for young change-makers to build sustainable, effective tools for change.
The Incubator is the Lab’s flagship program for young civil society leaders to build sustainable, effective tools for accountability, participation and open government. Selected ‘accountapreneurs’ or accountability entrepreneurs, will receive a year of hands-on support, including training and knowledge-building, mentoring, network-building, and media outreach support.
This year they are looking for ideas under the theme of “Global Challenges, Local Solutions”.
Themes: Your project would need to fall under one of four sub-themes including participation, inclusion, digital governance or environmental accountability.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants applying to the program must be residents of one of the eligible countries – Liberia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
- Women, people with disabilities and other minority groups are encouraged to apply.
Evaluation Criteria
- All applicants will be evaluated by the Incubator staff and their mentorship board based on the questions and a subsequent interview for short-listed candidates. The submission of a 1-minute video is optional but advisable to strengthen your application.
