Deadline: 30-Jul-25
The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) is inviting grant proposals from a wide range of applicants including individuals, non-community-based organizations, women’s and youth groups, SMEs, non-profits, and people living with disabilities.
EIF grants are designed to finance projects that contribute to environmental protection in Namibia. These grants support activities that preserve biodiversity, manage natural resources sustainably, promote eco-innovation, and boost economic development across the country.
The grants focus on key thematic areas such as climate change, biodiversity loss, land degradation, and support for green enterprises. Proposals should align with these themes and demonstrate a clear environmental and socio-economic benefit.
Applicants are encouraged to propose initiatives under specific investment areas such as sustainable natural resource use, tourism-related SMEs, nature-based enterprises, renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, and waste management including recycling.
Two types of grants are available. Seed Grants, capped at N$10,000, aim to spark initiatives that can attract further investment. Project Grants, which range from N$10,000 to N$500,000, are meant for full-scale project implementation.
EIF encourages participation from civil society, the private sector, and individuals who are committed to environmental sustainability and have ideas that can drive real change within Namibia.
