Applications are now open for a leadership program organized by Acted and Bigay Buhay Multipurpose Cooperative (BBMC), to empower young Filipinos to become advocates for a more inclusive society, working towards a world with Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty.
With the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Manila, this project aims to uphold the rights of persons with disabilities in the Philippines.
The leadership program will consist of a 3-day in-person program in Quezon City on March 1-3, 2024 and 8 follow-up peer meet-up sessions from April to November 2024.
Benefits
- This is a 12-month long program that will equip participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and network to become effective leaders in promoting inclusivity. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events, participants will have the opportunity to develop their leadership potential and contribute towards a more inclusive society.
- Participation to the program will be covered with reasonable support for the accepted 12 young leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a person with disability aged 18 to 30 residing in North Caloocan and Quezon City)
- Currently active in a civil society organization (CSO) focused on supporting and enabling Persons with Disability
- Can fully commit to the leadership program and follow-up peer meet-up sessions
- Available to attend a 3-day on-site program and 8 virtual and physical peer sessions
