NVO Prima, a nonprofit organization based in Podgorica, has put forth a call for project proposals aimed at local civil society groups in Montenegro. This opportunity is part of a broader regional initiative that operates simultaneously across seven countries through the Youth Hub network for Western Balkans and Türkiye, supported by EU funding. Local NGOs working directly in youth-related fields—especially those supporting marginalized groups—are encouraged to participate.
This initiative offers two distinct pathways for organizations. The first is tailored for current members of the Youth Hub network and aims to bolster their capacity to continue advancing youth empowerment. The second path invites new and smaller local organizations to join the network, enabling them to meaningfully contribute to local, national, and regional youth engagement efforts.
Priority is given to groups working with young women and girls, Roma youth, youth with disabilities, NEET youth, LGBTIQ+ youth, and those from rural areas—all communities that often lack representation in civic spaces. By focusing on these groups, the project aims to ensure that diverse voices are included in shaping the future.
The financial support available is structured into two categories. Under Lot 1, grants of up to EUR 8,000 are available, covering a maximum of 90 percent of total eligible costs. The remaining 10 percent must be provided by the applicant from non-EU sources. Under Lot 2, grants of up to EUR 5,000 are available under the same co-financing conditions. This structure ensures that organizations not only receive vital backing but also demonstrate shared responsibility for project success.
This call presents a timely chance for youth-centered NGOs in Montenegro to expand their influence, strengthen organizational capacity, and contribute to a growing regional movement committed to inclusive participation and youth leadership.
