The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has announced a call for proposals to implement integrated interventions in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH), Shelter, Infrastructure, Non-Food Items (NFIs), Energy and Environment, and Site Management for displaced persons in Niger.
Key areas include camp coordination and management, focusing on camp management activities. Shelter-related work involves settlement support such as site and urban planning, shelter construction and reconstruction, emergency shelter, preparedness and risk reduction, as well as provision of shelter-related NFIs.
In the WASH and Environment sector, priorities include basic sanitation, hygiene promotion, water supply, energy solutions, natural resource management, environmental pollution control, climate action, and emergency WASH services.
The geographic focus of this call is Niger, specifically in the Agadez region.
Proposals will be evaluated based on sector expertise and experience, project management capabilities, local presence, cost-effectiveness, contribution of resources, accountability to communities and community relations, sustainability of the intervention, and access and security considerations.
