Deadline: 23-Oct-2025
The European Commission (EC) has announced a funding opportunity to support public authorities in combating racism, xenophobia, LGBTIQ-phobia, and all other forms of intolerance, including intersectional discrimination. The main goal is to promote equality and fight discrimination based on sex, race, religion, disability, age, or sexual orientation, in line with Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
This call seeks to implement comprehensive, intersectional policies addressing racism, xenophobia, antigypsyism, antisemitism, anti-Muslim hatred, and LGBTIQ discrimination, both online and offline. The initiative encourages projects that foster trust between communities and public authorities, support civil society in countering antisemitism and anti-Muslim hate, and promote diversity and inclusion in workplaces across the public and private sectors.
Eligible projects may also focus on addressing challenges faced by LGBTIQ people, particularly in education, healthcare, and housing, with special attention to vulnerable groups like transgender and intersex individuals. Public authorities are specifically invited to strengthen their efforts to enforce anti-discrimination laws, collect equality data, and develop national action plans.
The total call budget is EUR 20 million, with EUR 13.2 million allocated for projects led by public authorities. Projects must be implemented by legal entities based in EU Member States or associated countries. All activities must integrate gender equality, avoid victimisation and stereotyping, and be inclusive by design.
Expected outcomes include improved awareness of non-discrimination laws, better implementation and enforcement practices, stronger protection for affected communities, enhanced cooperation among authorities and civil society, and more inclusive work environments. Applicants are encouraged to provide English translations of project outputs to support EU-wide knowledge exchange.
