Nominations are now open for the 2021 European Diversity Awards (EDA) to recognise those individuals and organisations whose outstanding leadership has made a genuine difference to the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.
Launched in 2010, the European Diversity Awards are now firmly established as the continent’s most prestigious and widely respected diversity event. EDA recognises achievement across all strands of diversity: race, age, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity and belief.
Categories
- Supplier Diversity Programme: This award recognises and celebrates the work of a corporate organisation that is driving forward the supplier diversity and inclusion agenda in Europe through programmes that specially encourage the participation of minority owned businesses in corporate supply chains. Minority owned businesses are defined as firms that are 51% or more owned by women, ethnic minority, LGBT and disabled business owners.
- Head of Diversity of the Year: Recognising a person who has integrated D&I into the very heart of the business leading a inclusive workforce and serving as an inspiration to others.
- Hero of the Year: Recognising a person who has campaigned to highlight diversity and worked to make a difference or served as an inspiration to others.
- Marketing Campaign of the Year: Awarded for a campaign which combines effective delivery of its core marketing message with a strong focus on ‘difference’ and diversity, demonstrating that campaigns that work can also feature individuals and communities who sit outside the mainstream.
- Inspirational Role Model of the Year: This award will celebrate someone in business who is contributing in some way to developing a culture that allows the most skilled and talented people to succeed, regardless of gender, race, physical abilities or sexual orientation.
- Community Project of the Year: Recognising the outstanding contribution that community groups make to equality, diversity and inclusion, this award is open to community projects from across Europe.
- Outstanding Employee Network of the Year: Recognising the outstanding contribution that employee network groups make to equality, diversity and inclusion within organisations, this award is open to network groups in all strands of diversity from corporate and public sector employers across Europe.
- Diversity Team of the Year: Recognising the outstanding contribution of teams that have delivered change in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion in their organisations, this award is open to diversity teams from the private, public and third sectors from across Europe.
- Social Mobility Initiative of the Year: This new award will be given to a person or organisation showing an outstanding commitment to encouraging social mobility, ensuring that people from all backgrounds enjoy equal opportunities for career advancement and success.
- Campaigner of the Year: Recognising the outstanding contribution of individual and organisations who campaigning for equality, diversity and inclusion, this award is open to campaigners and campaigning organisations from across Europe.
- Charity of the Year: This award recognises the outstanding work of charities from across Europe in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Diversity Champion of the Year: Recognising the outstanding work of individuals who have championed equality, diversity and inclusion in their organisations, this award is open to senior leaders from the corporate and public sectors from across Europe.
- Company of the Year: This award recognises companies that demonstrate a holistic and long-term commitment to equality and have delivered significant progress in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Influencer of the Year: The Influencer Award celebrates the influencers who have used their voice to inspire and leverage their network to highlight diversity & inclusion.
- HR Champion of the Year: This award is given to a leading HR professional who has leveraged their influence to ensure that the values of diversity and fairness are at the heart of their organisation’s HR policies and to ensure their workplace has diverse talent covering all sections of the workplace.
