Scope
- The scope behind this award ceremony is to celebrate the achievement of individuals and organisations whose endeavours implement the rights for persons with disability. On a national level, Government is obliged to show its appreciation towards those who strive to ensure an inclusive society where persons with disability, their families and assistants/carers experience accessibility and independent living conditions.
Award Descriptions
- Award for the voluntary organisation that worked towards achieving inclusion
- This Award recognises non-governmental voluntary organisation who made a significant impact and had direct involvement towards achieving inclusion.
- Lifetime Achievement Award in the Disability Sector
- This Award recognises an individual whose efforts contributed towards exceptional delivery which left an impact on the disability sector.
- Premju Soċjetà Ġusta
- This Award recognises an individual with disability whose qualities made a significant positive impact in this sector.
Eligibility Criteria
- No individual or organisation shall be nominated or seconded by the same person for any Award Category
- Late nominations will not be accepted
- Employees cannot nominate their organisations or members of their family
- Final decision on award winners is the prerogative of the Evaluation Board. The Evaluation Board may request to meet with nominees in person
- All nominations shall be treated with strictest confidentiality
- Nominations for more than one category are to be filled in separate forms
- Nominations are to be presented on the provided application form and confirmed by at least two (2) persons that are not family-related or not members or employees of the voluntary organisation being nominated, depending on the case.
