Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
The WITH Foundation is inviting proposals for one-year projects aimed at defending, strengthening, and expanding Medicaid and Medicare supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). These programs are critical lifelines, and the foundation seeks to ensure they remain strong, accessible, and focused on the dignity and healthcare needs of the I/DD community.
The grants will support initiatives over a 12-month period, beginning between February 1, 2026, and March 1, 2026. Projects should promote new partnerships or significantly enhance existing collaborations between disability organizations, self-advocates, healthcare providers, and community groups. Projects involving BIPOC-led organizations are especially encouraged. Existing partnerships must demonstrate clear expansion or the addition of new partners.
Programs must address at least one of the following focus areas: policy advocacy to protect or expand Medicaid and Medicare access; development of tools and educational resources for advocates and medical professionals; community organizing that uplifts the voices of adults with I/DD—especially in rural areas; or applied research that identifies service gaps, measures outcomes, or supports system improvements.
Each funded project must have a total budget of $100,000 and must be completed within the 12-month timeframe.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based public charities with 501(c)(3) status, such as healthcare, community, or disability-focused organizations. Collaborative proposals involving multiple partners are welcome, but the lead organization must clearly define each partner’s role and submit Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the application.
