Deadline: 21-Aug-2025
The World Health Organization is issuing a call for proposals aimed at integrating disability inclusion into its humanitarian and health emergency actions.
The initiative recognizes the heightened risks faced by persons with disabilities during crises due to barriers in accessing information, healthcare, and essential services.
The focus of this call is on strengthening inclusion through practical steps such as accessible triage systems, sign language interpretation in emergency messaging, disability-aware medical training, and systematic collection of disability-disaggregated health data. Organizations are invited to map barriers, gather case studies of successful integration, and recommend entry points for WHO to enhance inclusive practices.
The consultant or organization will be expected to engage with WHO staff across various levels and external partners, produce a background paper, prepare communication tools like presentations and information sheets, develop multiple case studies, and design webinars and stakeholder engagement strategies. There is also a requirement to outline concrete forward-looking options in a draft project proposal.
To qualify, applicants must be international organizations with direct experience in disability inclusion in humanitarian or health emergencies, capable of organizing consultations, information sessions, and gathering analytical insights.
