The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is seeking proposals to Support the Georgian law-enforcement system in developing and institutionalizing domestic violence risk assessment methodology.
The initiative is supported within the framework of the EU funded project “Unite to Fight Violence against Women” – a three-year multi-pronged initiative responding directly to the gender equality commitments undertaken by the Government of Georgia (GoG) and aiming at preventing violence against women and domestic violence and eliminating its causes and consequences in Georgia.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requirements for CSO:
- An officially registered foreign and/or International Legal Entity;
- At least 2 years of proven experience and results in working on violence against women and domestic violence, including experience in working on domestic violence risk assessment methodologies.
- Solid track record in delivering capacity development interventions on violence against women and domestic violence.
- Experience in providing capacity development trainings for the law enforcements and police in particular is essential.
- General organizational capability (minimum staffing and structure of the organization) which is likely to affect implementation: organization can demonstrate that it has already developed and implemented similar projects.
- An officially registered foreign and/or International Legal Entity;
- Bidders shall propose a team to perform this task, and should possess a minimum of the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the fields of Law, Development Studies, Women and Gender Studies, among others.
- Evidence of at least 7 years of relevant professional experience that combines working on VAWG/DV and DV risk assessment tools.
- Experience in delivering capacity development interventions to law-enforcement agencies and police in particular.
- Experience working in multi-cultural teams and environments.
- Proficiency in English.
