Nominations are now open for the Africa CEO Forum (ACF) 2022 Awards that are designed to recognize impactful companies and leaders in the African private sector.
The African Champion trophy highlights the role of the private sector in economic integration. The award honours the company whose involvement in the continent has increased the most, through a stronger presence in several regions and a consistent and coherent regional expansion strategy.
Eligible candidates
- Any African company that has generated at least €50 million in turnover and is present in at least three African countries.
- Candidature by application, third-party nomination (company or individual), or identification by the AFRICA CEO FORUM’s editorial team.
- Winner of “African Champion 2019 award” cannot compete.
Criteria
- Number of African countries in which the company is present and breakdown by region
- Number of subsidiaries opened in Africa over the past year (excluding country of origin)
- Number of jobs created in Africa over the past year (excluding country of origin)
- Portion of total income generated in Africa (excluding country of origin) over the past year
- Level of increase (%) of turnover generated in Africa (excluding country of origin) over the past year
- Pan-African expansion strategy: primary components of the strategy and progress made versus overall plan
