Deadline: 23-Sep-2025
Campus France is now accepting applications for its Peridot Program, which aims to foster high-level scientific and technological collaboration between research laboratories in France and Pakistan. The program encourages new cooperative projects and emphasizes the involvement of young researchers and doctoral students.
For the 12th call for applications, three priority areas have been identified: health, renewable energy with agriculture and food security, and economy with climate change. Projects within these fields will receive special consideration during the evaluation process.
Funding is available for French researchers traveling to Pakistan. Subsistence allowances are set at €125 per day for research stays up to ten days, and €60 per day for doctoral students staying longer than ten days. Additionally, travel costs for French researchers are reimbursed up to a maximum of €1,500 for a round trip.
Researchers eligible to apply must be working in research laboratories affiliated with higher education institutions or official research organizations. Applications must be jointly submitted by partner researchers from both France and Pakistan to their respective national program authorities. French researchers must confirm that their institutions allow missions to Pakistan, and an official authorization letter from their hierarchy is required with the application.
Projects are evaluated based on several factors, including scientific quality, active participation of young researchers, the strength and balance of cooperation between French and Pakistani teams, reciprocal exchange, and the project’s potential for future development. Proposals that show potential for European-level networking will receive priority.
Eligible proposals undergo independent scientific evaluations by both French and Pakistani authorities. The final selection is made collaboratively, with both parties aligning their evaluations. For the French side, the Delegation for European and International Affairs (DAEI) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) manages the evaluation process.
