The City of Busselton offers two distinct funding streams under its Economic Development and Marketing Grants Program, designed to support initiatives that contribute to the region’s economic, social, environmental, and cultural development.
These grants are available to not-for-profit organizations, incorporated associations, peak bodies, and business clusters comprising four or more individually owned and operated businesses from the same industry or similar, working collaboratively in a given geographic area.
The first funding stream is the Economic Development and Marketing Grant, which offers grants ranging from $1,000 to a maximum of $30,000 per application. Projects seeking funding amounts of $10,000 or above are required to provide a confirmed 50% matched funding, which can be a combination of cash and qualified in-kind contributions. The second stream is the Quick Response Grant, providing grants of less than $1,000. This stream is designed to offer an agile response to projects and activations, with an easy application and acquittal process, and no requirement for matched funds.
To apply for these grants, applicants must demonstrate alignment with the priorities identified in the City of Busselton’s Economic Development Strategy 2022-27. The Economic Development and Marketing Grant applications are assessed at two cutoff dates: 30 October 2024 and 17 March 2025. The Quick Response Grant applications are assessed as they are submitted. Before beginning the application process, it is strongly recommended that applicants thoroughly read the program guidelines and contact the City Economic Development team to discuss their initiative.
