Embassy of Finland, Dar es Salaam is seeking proposals from organizations in Tanzania for its Fund for Local Cooperation (FLC) in order to support Finnish-Tanzanian bilateral cooperation in the field of human rights, democracy and good governance, with a special emphasis on human rights defenders as well as women and youth.
The Embassy is looking for projects which contribute to the following outcomes of the FLC Programme:
- Increased capacity of civil society to hold the government accountable
- Increased opportunities of women and youth to enjoy their rights
Focus Areas
- Human rights defenders, freedom of expression, vulnerable groups, good governance, anti-corruption and transparency
- Violence against women, women´s economic empowerment and women´s leadership and participation in decision making
Funding Information
Generally funding per project is 20 000 – 50 000 Euros.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any organisation/project selected for funding has to meet the following criteria and present the information in the project document.
- Organization/project has to:
- apply Results Based Management (RBM) and Human Rights Based Approach to Development (HRBA)
- promote and strengthen participatory development processes
- have a long term strategy/plan of action
- be registered as CSO or private company under the Tanzanian law
- promote democratic decision making within the organization
