The City of Charles Sturt has opened applications for Event Sponsorship to support commercial-style partnerships with event organisers that offer return on investment and branding opportunities while driving economic growth and enhancing the city’s profile.
The focus of Event Sponsorship is on funding events that can demonstrate an increase in visitation, support local economic development, and enhance Charles Sturt’s profile as a dynamic and attractive place to visit, invest, and experience.
Eligibility is limited to event organisers delivering events within the boundaries of the City of Charles Sturt that are open to the public. Applicants must be a legal entity with an ABN and hold appropriate public liability insurance. Individuals or entities without an ABN are not eligible to apply.
The Event Sponsorship program allows for applications of up to $10,000 per year, with funding available for up to three years. Funding is capped at 50% of the total event budget, which can include both financial and in-kind contributions from the organiser.
Applicants must submit supporting documents including an event concept and event budget. All funding decisions are made by the Council, and applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with Council staff before submitting their proposals.
