The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting applications from non-governmental organizations to establish a roster of potential Responsible Parties. This roster will be used in accordance with the UNDP Country Programme Development (CPD).
The initiative targets a wide range of civil society and non-governmental organizations, including national and international CSOs, sector-based and people’s organizations, academic and non-profit research institutions, as well as social enterprises and their support bodies.
Eligible organizations may work in areas such as democratic governance, social inclusion, and digital transformation. Other focus areas include human rights, access to justice, multi-level governance, and democratic participation.
The program also supports inclusive and sustainable economic growth and recovery, covering activities like mine action, infrastructure development, and sustainable economic development. Environmental sustainability is a key theme, including climate change mitigation and adaptation, natural resource management, and energy security.
Cross-cutting themes supported by the program include gender equality, innovation, and data-driven policy planning.
Funding is categorized into four bands based on organizational experience and capacity. Band 1 allows up to $150,000, Band 2 up to $500,000, Band 3 up to $1 million, and Band 4 for amounts above $1 million.
Applicants must be capable of operating at the national, regional, or community levels. Organizations must be officially registered as non-profits for at least three years and legally authorized to operate in the relevant UNDP programme country. A minimum of three years’ experience in project implementation or contract execution is required.
