The UN Women Office is inviting NGOs, associations and civil society organizations (Women’s organizations are strongly encouraged) interested and qualified to submit a project document related to the programmatic themes:
- Inclusive governance and political participation women and young people
- Sustainable economic recovery of women and girls
- Women peace, security and humanitarian action
- Elimination of all forms of violence against towards women and girls
Objectives and Outcomes
- Inclusive governance and political participation women and young people
- Objective: Contribute to the consolidation of peace, security and reconciliation
- Outcome: Central African women and girls of all the ages participate fully, direct and engage in institutions and processes politicians
- Sustainable economic recovery of women and girls
- Objective: Women benefit from income security, decent work and autonomy economic
- Outcome: Rural women benefit from access to productive resources and engages in a sustainable agriculture
- Women peace, security and humanitarian action
- Objective: Women and girls contribute and have a greater influence in building a lasting peace, and also benefit from the prevention of natural disasters and conflicts and humanitarian action.
- Outcome: Affected Central African women and girls by the conflict in CAR play a role of actors in community reconciliation and are supported for their recovery.
- Elimination of all forms of violence against towards women and girls
- Objective: All women and girls live safe from all forms of violence
- Outcome: The Government of the Central African Republic and all stakeholders, in particular civil society, are better able to prevent violence in towards women and girls and to provide essential services for victims and survivors
Eligibility Criteria
- May apply, national non-governmental organizations and / or international:
- Having an operational presence in the project sites with available staff;
- Having worked on missions promoting gender equality and empowerment of women;
- Proposing a realistic strategy / approach to the participation of women and young people in integration peacebuilding process at all levels. A good analysis gender sensitive context in the project proposal would be an asset.
- Having knowledge of the socio-cultural realities, norms and values of the areas intervention
- Having provided the administrative documents (Approval of the Ministry of Planning);
- Having a head office, administration / staff / Asset, equipment, etc.
- Technical and Operational Skills
- Tea qualified organization must demonstrate the capacity to achieve the expected results: capacity technical, governance and management capacity, and financial and administrative capacity (including human resource management capacity).
- The organization must demonstrate a governance and management approach, and financial capacity and administrative (including gender considerations).
- Relevance of the mandate and role of the organization to implement the expected results and contribute to the sustainability of the action and the sustainability of the results resulting from the implementation projects.
- UN-W omen encourages its partners to take gender considerations into account, particularly in governance and project management; gender considerations, in particular in the governance and management structures of partner organizations.
