The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals for the Realization of Study of Perception and Socio-Economic Impact of COVID-19 in Provinces of Hadjer Lamis and Lake Chad.
The main objective is to analyze the perception of the populations vis-vis-à-vis the COVID-19 crisis, particularly in relation to health measures introduced by the government of Chad and support from technical and financial partners:
- Estimate the effects (damage and loss) of the pandemic crisis on the different sectors of the local economy;
- Measure the impact of the pandemic on the daily lives of populations and the local economy, with an emphasis on socioeconomic, environmental and security issues;
- Analyze the impact of the crisis on vulnerable populations,especially young people, women, people with disabilities, displaced persons and refugees;
- Better understand the priorities and concerns of populations in terms of development, and to identify the evolution these perceptions in view of the crisis;
- Define recovery needs to respond adequately to the situation of the victims of the crisis. The results will beat the disposal of the Government of Chad and actors and development (CSOs, private sector, international organizations, etc.) to better orient the response taking into account the importance of the link between humanitarian, development and peace dimensions.
Expected Results
- A detailed analysis of the perception of the populations of provinces of Hadjer Lamis and Lake Chad on the management of COVID-19 crisis is achieved;
- The effects (loss and damage) induced by the crisis and the measures accompanying restrictions are estimated on the whole development sectors;
- The impact of the pandemic on the daily lives of populations is measured in socio-economic, environmental and security, especially among vulnerable populations;
- Priority needs and concerns of the populations in terms of post-crisis recovery are better understood over time and in view of the crisis;
- The results are made available to the government of Chad and development actors to guide the take of decision.

Qualifications of the Service Provider
The Service Provider should describe and explain how and why it is the best entity that can meet the needs of UNDP by indicating the following:
- Profile – describe the nature of its business, area of expertise, licenses, certifications, accreditations;
- Business licenses – Registration documents, Tax payment certification, etc.;
- Latest audited financial statements – Income / income statement and balance sheet to indicate its stability financial, liquidity, solvency and its reputation in the market, etc.;
- Professional experience – list of clients for services similar to those requested by the UNDP, providing the description of the contractual tasks, the duration of the contracts, the contractual values, contract references;
- Certificates and Accreditation – including Quality Certificates, registration certificates, Environmental Protection Certificates, etc.;
- A Written Declaration that the Company is not on the list of Resolution 1267/1989 of United Nations Security Council, list of United Nations Purchasing Division or Other United Nations list of ineligible suppliers.
