Nominations are now open for the Dan David Prize to recognize and encourage innovative and interdisciplinary research that cuts across traditional boundaries and paradigms.
The Dan David Prize awards $3 million each year to early-and-mid-career scholars and practitioners who study the human past. Up to nine annual prizes of $300,000 each will be given to people who have produced, and will continue to produce, outstanding work in this field. In addition, the Prize will fund a postdoctoral fellows program at Tel Aviv University.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be engaged in outstanding and innovative work related to the study of the human past, employing any chronological, geographical and methodological focus
- Have earned a doctorate or have equivalent experience
- Have completed at least one major piece of work, such as a book, major publication(s), exhibition, documentary film or public humanities project
- Exhibit strong potential for future scholarly excellence, innovation and leadership that will help shape the study of the past for years to come
- Be in the early or mid-stage of their career
- The Dan David Prize welcomes nominations from anywhere in the world.
