Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
Are you passionate about video editing but do not know where to start? Are you a young African with a creative spark, ready to turn that spark into something extradinary? Then this call is for you.
Join the Flourish Creators Fellowship – get trained, mentored, and equipped to create impact through digital content. The Flourish Creators Fellowship is a transformative, hands-on, and fully virtual fellowship designed to equip 10 talented young Africans (ages 18–45) with professional video editing skills on creative effect video using CapCut—one of the most accessible and powerful mobile editing tools today.
Over a 2-month intensive virtual training, fellows will move from beginner to confident editor—starting with the basics and advancing to more complex editing techniques. All fellows will receive a certificate recognizing their commitment and skills. One most outstanding project will win £100 cash prize!
Fellows can expect 4 weeks of live virtual sessions, two sessions per month on Saturdays at 6 PM (WAT), where they will join an interactive, instructor-led session to learn, ask questions, and share ideas in a collaborative environment. Weekly recorded classes for self-paced learning are designed for flexibility so participants can learn anytime, anywhere. There will be weekly assessment before progressing to the next video learning session.
Additional benefits include joining a Pan-African network to collaborate, network, and access future opportunities together, personal and professional branding support to build your online presence, portfolio, and creative brand, priority access to future opportunities including digital internships, grants, and collaborations through Flourish Her Africa and partner networks, and mentorship from industry professionals.
Eligibility criteria: You must have access to the CapCut pro editing software (mobile or desktop), be from any African country, aged between 18–45 years, interested in video editing and storytelling, have a stable internet connection for every session, be committed to attending all live sessions and completing self-paced classes, and be willing to participate in the final capstone project.
Application deadline is 15 September 2025, and selected applicants will be notified via email by 30 September 2025. The fellowship officially kicks off on Saturday, 11 October 2025.
