Deadline: 18-Aug-2025
The University College London (UCL) is inviting applications for its Student Success Fund, which supports initiatives aimed at enhancing academic success, retention, and continuation of underrepresented UK-domiciled undergraduate students. The fund is designed to promote student-centred, applied interventions that deliver measurable outcomes in line with UCL’s vision for equity and inclusion.
Funded projects are expected to foster learning environments that acknowledge, validate, and celebrate the diversity of the student population. They should work to create an inclusive institutional culture, develop equitable support systems, and recognise various forms of student success based on individual strengths.
The Student Success team offers financial support in three tiers. The Seed level provides up to £1,000 for early-stage ideas focused on mapping needs through discovery methods like focus groups and data analysis. The Sprout level offers up to £5,000 for piloting promising projects that have shown initial success, including funding for staff time and equipment. The Grow level grants up to £10,000 for scaling well-established interventions, potentially across departments or faculties, with an emphasis on sustainability beyond the grant period.
Eligible projects must target specific UK-domiciled student groups, including Access UCL participants, care-experienced and estranged students, mature students, disabled students, and students from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds. Only UK-domiciled undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
