The Enable has launched the Promotion of Female Education Champions and Role Models Grant to support information and awareness-raising activities in Burundi.
A total budget of €128,000 has been allocated for this call for proposals, with individual grants ranging from a minimum of €96,000 to a maximum of €128,000. The contracting authority retains the right to adjust these amounts or award additional funds to successful applicants. If the allocated funds cannot be fully used due to a lack of quality proposals, unused amounts may be redirected to other project activities.
Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria to be considered. Eligible applicants include legal entities such as non-profit organizations, foundations, or private legal entities where profit is not the primary goal. These organizations must be established or represented in Burundi and be directly responsible for managing the proposed project, without acting as intermediaries.
Applicants should have proven experience in inclusive education and gender-related initiatives, with at least three years of relevant work. They must demonstrate both theoretical and practical expertise and a track record of conducting awareness-raising activities targeting parents and youth to support schooling. Additionally, applicants must show experience managing grants or contracts worth at least €40,000, supported by documentation such as grant agreements and certificates of successful completion.
This call sets clear guidelines on the submission, selection, and implementation of funded projects, including criteria related to the eligibility of applicants, the types of eligible actions, and allowable costs. The process aims to support effective projects that advance inclusive education and gender equality in Burundi.
