Projects that serve development policy communication and education in Austria can be funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the Austrian Development Cooperation Agency.
The special funding priority in the call for proposals in 2019 is Women / Gender & Development (SDG 5 – Gender Equality). It aims to highlight the diverse involvement of women worldwide in achieving the Global Goals / SDGs, but also highlight the causes and background of gender-based discrimination. In particular, women / initiatives from the global South should be strengthened, their important contributions to society and development made visible and audible. Stereotypes Men’s and women’s images should be counteracted, as well as differentiated perspectives, alternative narratives and viewpoints brought before the curtain. Dialogues, encounters, new alliances are to be initiated.
Funding Information
The maximum project duration is three years. The minimum application amount for subsidies is EURO 10,000.

Focus
- Funding will be given to projects that address the fundamental issues of global developments and the resulting global interconnectedness of Austria, focusing primarily on multipliers in all socially relevant sectors, decision-makers in politics and business, and the general public.
- The projects are based on the main themes of the current three-year program of Austrian development policy. The Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a basic framework for the projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants are legal persons according to § 3 (2) EZA-Gesetz.
- Individuals can not submit applications.
