Deadline: 27-Aug-2025
The Cornwall Community Foundation is inviting applications for the East Langford Solar Farm Fund to support local community projects in Stratton, Kilkhampton, Launcells, and Morwenstow.
This fund is set up to ensure that local communities benefit from the East Langford Solar Farm throughout its operational life. Projects that focus on education or aim to reduce carbon footprints may be given special consideration.
Grants range from £250 to £5,000. Funding can support core costs like room hire or salaries if tied to a specific project, though it will not cover ongoing organisational expenses. Proposals that improve sustainability or reduce carbon impact within the community are encouraged.
Projects outside the four named areas are not eligible. The fund also excludes commercial, profit-making ventures, organisations with large reserves, and statutory bodies such as schools or councils. Other exclusions include deficit funding, endowment contributions, political or religious promotion, and projects already completed.
Only charities, community interest companies (CICs), and voluntary groups based in and serving Stratton, Kilkhampton, Launcells, or Morwenstow can apply. Projects must benefit the local population and preferably include educational components or environmental awareness.
