Deadline: 31-Aug-25
Teach For Bangladesh is searching for the country’s most promising leaders who are ready to take on the challenge of reshaping the education system.
This opportunity is designed for those who are committed to bringing meaningful change and tackling educational inequity head-on.
The Teach For Bangladesh Fellowship is a two-year leadership development program targeted at outstanding university graduates and young professionals.
It offers a unique personal and professional growth experience while working toward a more equitable education system in Bangladesh. Fellows take on the role of full-time teachers in low-income schools across Dhaka and Chattogram.
Alongside teaching, Fellows pursue a diploma in Educational Leadership, Planning, and Management through weekly courses conducted by the BRAC Institute of Educational Development.
This academic component equips them with the knowledge and context to better understand and influence the broader educational landscape in Bangladesh.
The Fellowship is highly competitive. Each year, only a small number of applicants are selected, with fewer than 5% of candidates making it through the process.
Selected Fellows tend to stand out for their academic achievements, leadership qualities, and alignment with the organization’s mission.
Teach For Bangladesh looks for individuals who demonstrate critical thinking, resilience, empathy, and a willingness to reflect and grow.
Candidates should be proficient in both Bangla and English, as these skills are essential for classroom effectiveness and community engagement.
Fellows receive a monthly stipend of 32,000 BDT to support them during the two-year program. To apply, candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
The program is open to Bangladeshi nationals, dual citizens with a Bangladeshi passport, and foreign nationals of Bangladeshi origin with a “No Visa Required” stamp in their passport.
The selection process emphasizes qualities such as a passion for the vision and mission, leadership experience, academic excellence, strong communication and time management skills, critical thinking, perseverance, and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
