Deadline: 17-Jul-2025
The UNICEF office in Cameroon has launched a Call for Expressions of Interest to identify Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including local, national, and international NGOs, to support the implementation of activities under the UNICEF–Government of Cameroon Cooperation Programme 2022–2026. This initiative targets the Adamoua and East regions of Cameroon.
The focus spans several sectors including education, nutrition, and protection. In education, efforts include promoting comprehensive sexuality education, early childhood development, and skills training for adolescents. In nutrition, the emphasis is on the prevention and treatment of malnutrition. The protection sector aims to address child protection, gender-based violence, and responses to crime and violence.
Expected results include strengthening the ability of government institutions, social workers, and community leaders to identify and support children at risk. Key stakeholders will be equipped to enhance legal frameworks for birth registration and child protection, and ensure increased budget allocations for these areas.
By 2026, children and adolescents should have improved access to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, particularly the most vulnerable, will be able to access quality healthcare to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission. Adolescents and their communities will gain increased awareness of essential nutritional practices to prevent malnutrition.
Authorities at all levels will be better equipped to plan, coordinate, and mobilize resources for multisectoral nutrition interventions. This call aims to establish potential partnerships with organizations capable of delivering sustainable, impactful programs in these sectors.
The selection criteria include demonstrated sector expertise, relevance of proposals to expected outcomes, experience working with the UN, sustainability, project management capacity, and resource contributions.
