Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The LEO Foundation is inviting applications for its Education and Awareness Grants, aiming to strengthen the future researcher pipeline in medicine, chemistry, and pharmacy, and to raise awareness about science—particularly skin health and skin diseases.
Projects requesting less than DKK 1 million should submit a full application of up to six pages. Those seeking more than DKK 1 million must first submit a two-page pitch. If selected, they may then be invited to submit a full application.
Covered costs include salaries, operating expenses, travel, and administrative costs (up to 5%), as long as they are directly related to the proposed activity or project.
The Foundation supports initiatives that inspire children and young people in STEM fields, spread research-based knowledge to the public, promote scientific literacy in society, and increase understanding of skin health and disease.
Projects must take place in Denmark and must have a clear philanthropic purpose. Only one application per call is accepted from each applicant. If multiple are submitted, only the first will be evaluated. The application must include a single main applicant and host organization, which will manage the funding and reporting.
Funding is not available for activities held before notification, or for student education and research stays. Rejected applications for less than DKK 1 million may only be resubmitted once and only after one grant cycle. Rejected applications over DKK 1 million cannot be resubmitted.
Applications will be evaluated on the applicant’s experience, the relevance and novelty of the project, the project’s purpose, and its anticipated impact.
Applicants for grants over DKK 1 million must submit a pitch in Danish or English. The pitch should include the project title, names and contact details of applicants, host organization, requested funding amount, a short description of the project’s purpose and scope, a two-page CV, and support letters from involved organizations (one page each).
