Applications for the Logo and Slogan (Tagline) Design Competition for New CWSN Vertical on DIKSHA in India is now open.
Objectives
The NEP 2020 recognizes five identities of Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) mentioned:
- gender identities (particularly female and transgender individuals)
- socio-cultural identities (such as Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes, OBCs, and minorities)
- geographical identities (such as students from villages, small towns, and aspirational districts), disabilities (including learning disabilities)
- socio-economic conditions (such as migrant communities, low income households, children in vulnerable situations, victims of or children of victims of trafficking, orphans including child beggars in urban areas, and the urban poor)
- Disabilities (All conditions recognized in RPwD Act 2016)
- The objective of this vertical would be to provide the learners, parents, teachers and other stakeholders in the area of CWSN education the necessary e-content and educational e-resources at one place.
- Content will be in the form of ISL videos, byte-sized videos, comic books, info graphics, audio files, etc. based on the principles of Universal Design for Learning.
Prior to the launch of CWSN vertical on DIKSHA, logo and slogan (tagline) is to be developed. Participation from citizens of India is invited for the creation of logo and slogan.
Prize Details
The winning entry will be awarded with certificates for both Logo and Slogan design category.
Eligibility Criteria
- All citizens of India are eligible to participate. There is no age limit.
- Participation is invited for designing of the logo and slogan. The logo should celebrate the joyful and inclusive essence of learning, in line with the vision of honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi, “Education should not only be inclusive but also be equitable”.
- The entire initiative of CWSN Vertical on DIKSHA, is specially focused on school education. Inclusive pedagogical practices follows Universal Design of Learning (UDL), and encourages preparation of teaching learning content in multiple formats such as talking books, audiobooks, Indian Sign Language (ISL), flip books, digitally interactive and so on.
- In this background, the logo and slogan should represent all the identities of SEDG’s recognized in NEP 2020.
- Logo designing and slogan writing are two separate competitions. An individual may participate in any one or both the competitions.
Technical Criteria
- Technical Criteria (for Logo):
- The participant should submit a high-resolution (600 dpi) image of the logo (with slogan) in JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF formats only.
- Each participant must submit a brief description (maximum 100 words) of the logo along with the image (i.e., Explanation of the logo, symbol, color etc.).
- The logo should be distinctive and scalable. It should be usable in large hoardings; small merchandise should be appropriate for any web device and any kind of print material.
- Designing of CWSN logo can be in multicolor and should also be reproducible in monochrome.
- The winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the designed logo.
- The Logo should be usable on the website/mobile app/social media such as Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and on Magazines, Commercial Hoardings/Standees, Brochures, Leaflets, and Pamphlets, Souvenirs and other Publicity and Marketing materials.
- Technical Criteria (for Slogan):
- The slogan should not have more than 30 words.
- The language should be easy to comprehend.
- Slogan in Hindi or English is accepted.
- Slogan should not be highlighting any one SEDG rather should be representative of all.
