The “LA NACION FUNDACION A LA EDUCACION AWARD” contest, organized by Fundación La Nación with the support of Banco Galicia and OSDE and the collaboration of Cimientos, VIACOM – CBS, Proyecto Educar 2050, Fundación Varkey and the Universidad de San Andrés, is intended to highlight initiatives of schools and kindergartens throughout the Argentine Republic that promote learning opportunities and generate a positive impact on the educational community through innovative pedagogical strategies from the context of pandemic.
Objectives
- Support the efforts and achievements of those teaching teams that develop strategies to ensure the pedagogical continuity of students
- Support those strategies that show the possibility of continuing to be used after the pandemic to improve the teaching-learning process
- Give visibility to innovative initiatives that contribute to the improvement of the teaching – learning process, to encourage their replication by other schools and teaching teams.
- Teaching team: that works actively and committed to carry out the initiative.
- Integration with the community: to encourage the participation of family references in accompanying the students.
- Results: that show an impact on the pedagogical continuity of the students and the potential future use of the strategy outside the context of a pandemic.
Eligibility Criteria
- All educational institutions, with domicile in the Argentine Republic of state or private management, of Initial, Primary and Secondary level of all duly recognized modalities, whose enrollment is composed mainly of students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, may participate in the contest. In the event that the school is not in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, the educational institution may only participate if it presents a strategy or initiative in conjunction with a school with a vulnerable context. In the case of being a winner or a special mention, the economic stimulus (as indicated in section III – “Contest Prize” – following of these Bases and Conditions) must be used to help the school in a situation of socio-economic vulnerability.
- Participating educational institutions may apply for more than one initiative, as long as the latter was presented by a different teacher / manager.
- Those educational institutions that have been winners or special mentions of the twelfth edition of the Community Award for Education or the thirteenth edition of the Community Award for Education, of the years 2018 and 2019, respectively, will not be able to participate.
