Deadline: 17-Oct-2025
The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector is once again inviting volunteers to shine with the National Volunteer Award 2025, a recognition that honors individual efforts across areas like social work, health, environmental activism, culture, education, and sports.
It celebrates volunteers whose contributions inspire others and bring positive change within their communities. This year’s edition expands the celebration of volunteerism with five additional awards. Young champions aged 16 to 30 can be nominated for the National Youth Volunteer Award, while children between 10 and 15 may receive the Victor Calvagna Children Volunteer Award. Voluntary organizations that demonstrate innovation and impact are eligible for the Volunteer Organisation Award, and companies offering meaningful support to charitable work can be considered for the Corporate Volunteering Award. There’s also a Special Award for Voluntary Service, given as a lifetime achievement honor, and a Special Award for Project of the Year, recognizing standout community initiatives.
Winners will be celebrated in a ceremony scheduled for 4 December 2025, just ahead of International Volunteer Day on 5 December, reinforcing the award’s connection to global volunteer recognition.
This initiative is more than just an accolade—it’s a chance to uplift and spotlight the voices making a real impact, while inspiring the next generation of volunteers to carry forward a legacy of service, compassion, and leadership.
