IMS is pleased to announce an open call for project proposals supporting media development in Yemen. This allows Yemeni media organisations to submit their project ideas for potential funding and collaboration.
IMS is dedicated to supporting innovative and impactful projects that advance inclusive media and good journalism.
Objective
- This open call aims to identify and support projects that promote media development, good journalism, media literacy, media innovation, and explore emerging trends in the Yemeni media landscape. They aim to fund projects that have the potential to make a significant positive impact on society through media-related activities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Media organisations, NGOs, academic institutions, and other relevant entities are eligible to apply.
- Projects should align with the goals and objectives of IMS.
- Projects must be innovative, feasible, and have clear objectives, outputs, and potential for impact.
- Projects should demonstrate potential for sustainability and long-term impact.
- Projects may focus on any media aspect, including journalism content (digital; environmental; community-oriented; photography; documentaries; etc.), and/or gender, advocacy, media innovation.
Selection Process
- All submitted project proposals will go through a thorough evaluation process by the expert panel.
- Evaluation criteria will be aligned to the eligibility criteria.
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or presentation to discuss their project further.
- Final selection will be based on evaluation of the overall merit of the project and the available funding/resources.
