Deadline: 26-Oct-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched a call for expressions of interest in Cameroon to identify potential partners for future collaboration in delivering humanitarian and development programs.
This initiative aims to create a roster of eligible organizations that can support WFP’s work across various regions of the country, including the East, South, North, South-West, Adamaoua, Centre, Far North, West, and North-West. Through this process, WFP seeks to strengthen partnerships that can enhance the effectiveness and reach of its interventions in some of the most vulnerable communities.
The call focuses on multiple sectors critical to WFP’s mission and Cameroon’s development priorities. These include cross-sectoral areas such as early recovery, emergency preparedness and response, gender equality, monitoring and evaluation, and research. It also covers education initiatives, particularly education in emergencies, school meal programs, and skills development for adolescents. Other important areas include food security through agricultural inputs, cash assistance, and food-for-assets projects; livelihood support like microfinance, fisheries, and vocational training; and nutrition-focused interventions that address malnutrition, promote infant feeding, and strengthen community-based nutrition services. In addition, protection-related work, especially child protection and gender-based violence prevention, forms a key focus area of the call.
Eligible organizations that meet WFP’s partnership criteria will be assessed based on their experience, capacity, and compliance with eligibility requirements. Those that qualify will be added to the WFP Cameroon roster of potential partners. However, being part of the roster does not automatically guarantee a partnership agreement. Instead, shortlisted organizations will be invited to participate in future calls for proposals, where successful applicants may enter into formal field-level agreements with WFP.
This roster will remain valid for three years and will serve as a valuable resource for WFP’s programmatic and emergency operations across Cameroon. Organizations included in the roster will have their key details, such as contact information, geographical focus, and areas of specialization, maintained and regularly updated by WFP. Through this initiative, WFP aims to build a network of capable and reliable partners who can contribute to achieving food security, resilience, and sustainable development outcomes for communities throughout the country.
