Deadline: 17-Sep-2025
Pfizer is accepting proposals for its Independent Competitive Medical Education Grant to support educational initiatives that increase awareness of emerging data addressing unmet needs in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).
This opportunity focuses on genitourinary/bladder cancer. Supported projects should not include clinical research or evaluations of the efficacy of therapeutic or diagnostic agents.
Eligible projects must explore one or more of the following areas: emerging NMIBC data and how it affects current treatment approaches, the burden and recurrence of the disease, complications from existing treatments, and existing gaps in care. Other focus areas include management of high-risk NMIBC patients, identifying appropriate patients based on clinical risk stratification, and integrating new immunotherapy options through shared decision-making between urologists and oncologists.
Pfizer will consider individual project funding requests ranging from $50,000 to $200,000, with a total budget of $500,000 available to support multiple projects. Projects may last up to 18–24 months.
The grant is open to projects conducted within the United States. The target audience includes urologists, uro-oncologists, medical oncologists, advanced practice providers (PAs/NPs), nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in NMIBC patient care in both community and academic settings.
Eligible applicants include medical, dental, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy schools; healthcare institutions; professional societies; medical education companies; and other healthcare-related education entities. Individuals and independent medical practice groups are not eligible.
If multiple departments or organizations are involved in a project, each must play a meaningful role, and the main requesting organization must lead the project. The lead must be an employee or contractor of the requesting organization or be represented by an authorized designee.
Organizations must be legally able to receive Pfizer funding directly, and applicants are advised to confirm this eligibility before applying. For projects that provide continuing education credit, the applicant must be an accredited organization.
