Deadline: 19-Jul-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) Afghanistan is inviting proposals from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to implement its school feeding project in Nangarhar Province.
This programme is focused on provinces that experience the highest levels of chronic food insecurity, have poor educational outcomes, and face challenges in achieving gender parity. The goal is to improve access to education and reduce hunger among school-aged children.
The School Feeding initiative targets students enrolled in Primary Schools, Community Based Education (CBE) classes, and Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) classes, depending on their availability in the area.
The core sectors involved in this initiative include food security, with both food assistance and cash assistance being part of the programme model.
This opportunity is geographically specific to Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan, where the need for nutritional and educational support for children is especially high.
