Pfizer is accepting applications for its Independent Medical Education Grant Program to support educational projects that improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge and competence in adult and maternal vaccination.
Applicants are encouraged to focus on educational needs related to vaccination recommendations and their implementation among adults. Projects can include strategies to raise awareness, develop or adapt educational resources for various healthcare roles, and create tools to reduce information gaps and promote better care coordination.
Funding of up to €35,000 is available per project, with a maximum project duration of 12 months. The initiative targets a wide range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, general practitioners, pediatricians, obstetricians, pulmonologists, family doctors, nurses, and midwives.
Eligible countries include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
Organizations eligible to apply include medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health schools; healthcare institutions; professional societies; accredited education providers; and others with a mission to advance healthcare education. Individuals or unaffiliated private practices are not eligible.
Collaborative projects involving multiple institutions are welcome, provided each plays a relevant role and the lead organization is central to the project. The applicant must be the program lead or an authorized representative and employed or contracted by the applying organization.
It is essential that the organization be legally able to receive funding from Pfizer Inc. If not, the grant may be rescinded. For programs that offer continuing education credit, the applying organization must hold proper accreditation.
