Deadline: 01-Oct-2025
Pfizer is inviting proposals for its Independent Medical Education Grant Program, which focuses on upskilling Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the use of actionable biomarkers and genetic testing in cancer care.
This competitive grant program supports independent education providers that aim to teach Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and other allied health professionals about the latest advances in biomarker testing to aid in treatment decisions in oncology.
Applicants are encouraged to address educational needs related to biomarker testing in clinical practice. This may include tools and resources that reduce information gaps and boost confidence in using targeted therapies based on biomarker results, programs to help APPs better explain testing to patients, and strategies for implementing evidence-based testing pathways, especially for lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers.
Funding of up to $250,000 is available for individual projects, with a total budget of approximately $500,000 under this request for proposals.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based medical, nursing, pharmacy, or allied health schools; healthcare institutions; professional organizations; medical education companies; and similar entities committed to healthcare education or improvement. Individuals and unaffiliated medical practices are not eligible to apply.
Collaborative projects across departments or institutions are welcome, provided each plays a relevant role and the main requesting organization leads the initiative. The lead applicant must be employed or contracted by the requesting organization and authorized to represent it in grant matters.
Organizations must be legally able to accept direct funding from Pfizer Inc., and projects offering continuing education credits must come from accredited institutions.
