Deadline: 10-Oct-2025
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok is accepting proposals for Small-Scale Projects focused on various sectors.
All projects should be based on the principle of sustainability, which means sustaining the benefits for the long term without additional external support. The projects can focus on various sectors, for example, environment, agriculture, health, education, and social services.
A project can receive funding ranging from 200,000 CZK (approximately 9,500 USD) to a maximum of 500,000 CZK (approximately 23,500 USD). Co-funding from the applicant or other sources is welcome. The total sum of personal and travel costs must not exceed 25% of the total budget. The maximum duration of a project is seven months, from the signing of the contract, which is expected to be around March, until October.
To be eligible to submit a proposal, an organization must have legal capacity in Thailand or Laos. This includes local non-governmental, community, and not-for-profit organizations; local academic institutions working on local projects; international, intergovernmental, multilateral, and regional institutions, organizations, and agencies working on local development activities; and municipal, regional, or national government institutions or agencies of the recipient country working on local projects. The majority of funding is directed toward local civil society organizations and other institutions working at the local level. Other entities are eligible, provided they are working with local partners and on local projects.
All proposals should be delivered to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok in both electronic form, which must be an editable Excel format file (.xlsx), and a scanned .pdf or .jpg file with a stamp or signature. The proposal must contain a completed and signed Identification Form, a copy of the document proving the applicant’s legal capacity, and a copy of the authorization for the person submitting the proposal to act on the applicant’s behalf. All documentation must be in English or have an English translation attached.
Project calculations should be filled in using USD, EUR, or THB. Do not use LAK for projects in Laos or CZK for any financial requirements, as the contract will be quoted in CZK and the approved amount is final. Successful applicants should sign a contract no later than March 15, 2026, and all project activities should be finished by October 31, 2026. A final report and all relevant financial documents must be submitted no later than November 20, 2026.
