Deadline: 1 January 2020
The U.S. Embassy in Tunis has announced the 2020 Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders: Education and the Future of Work Program.
This intensive exchange opportunity provides undergraduate students with a deeper understanding of the United States, while simultaneously enhancing their leadership skills. The program includes seminar discussions, readings, group presentations, and lectures as well as educational travel, site visits, leadership activities, and volunteering within the local community. Through all of these engagements, participants will examine how advances in technology such as artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics are shaping how they work and the skills and education required to succeed. Participants will also explore global issues related to the future of work by discussing relevant social, economic, and educational trends.
The Institute’s four week academic program and one week study tour will focus on developing participants’ critical thinking, communication, decision-making, and managerial abilities while boosting their knowledge about topics such as entrepreneurship and the gig economy; globalization and urbanization; innovation and technology; the role of community colleges; skills development; and more.
The five-week program will occur in the United States sometime between June and August 2020.
