The U.S. Embassy Kyiv Public Affairs Section (PAS Kyiv) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce american studies small grant competition to support and increase awareness of American Studies in Ukraine including both existing efforts and to encourage new initiatives.
Purposes
- Developing (or supporting existing) American Studies courses for university and secondary school level and curriculum development;
- Training programs on U.S. teaching methodologies and administration of American Studies programs;
- Professional development of faculty and administration;
- Creation of website with resources in American Studies; other projects supporting increased awareness of American Studies in Ukraine.
Funding Information
- Award amounts: Awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $25,000
- Total available funding: To be determined
- Type of Funding: Fiscal Year 2022 Public Diplomacy Funding
- Length of performance period: Up to twelve months
- Number of awards anticipated: Dependent on funds availability
- Anticipated project start date: No later than Sept 30, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental Organizations.
- Proposals may be submitted by Ukrainian not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations.
Note: For-profit and commercial entities are ineligible.
The following types of projects are not eligible for funding:
Projects relating to partisan political activity; Charitable or development activities; Construction,projects Projects that support specific religious activities; Fundraising campaigns; Lobbying for specific legislation or projects; Competitions where the prize is the only outcome of the program; Scientific research; or Projects that duplicate existing projects.
