The Going Global Partnerships initiative has announced the Industry-Academia TNE Grants, designed to support collaborations between UK and Indian higher or further education institutions and industry partners.
These grants are intended to fund three-way partnerships involving one UK institution, one Indian institution, and one industry partner based in either country. The goal is to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, promoting educational excellence, workforce readiness, and impactful research.
The grants aim to create stronger and more inclusive higher education systems that are closely connected to industry and capable of driving global development outcomes.
Each selected project may receive up to £20,000 in funding. The project duration is 12 months, with a start date of 30 September 2025.
Eligible UK partners include higher education institutions with degree-awarding powers, not-for-profit research organizations, or public and private entities involved in the TVET or Further Education sectors.
Indian partners must be government or privately funded higher education institutions recognized by authorities such as UGC, AICTE, or other relevant bodies.
The industry partner in the collaboration must be a for-profit organization, which can range from micro to large enterprises.
