Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and Department for International Development are seeking applications for Darwin Initiative Post Project Funding. Post project funding may be considered where there is a specific need to do more work on a successful and completed Darwin project.
The Darwin Initiative is a UK government grants scheme that helps to protect biodiversity and the natural environment in developing countries and UK Overseas Territories (OTs).
Funding Information
There is no specific minimum or maximum level of funding for a post project. On average, a typical Darwin post project is between £100, 00 and £150,000 and up to two years in length.
Key Dates
- Late September 2016 – call for post project applications
- 7 November 2016 – deadline for post project applications
- February 2017 – notification of outcome to all applicants
- From 1 April 2017 – expected start date for successful projects
Eligibility Criteria
Only existing Darwin project leaders can apply for post project funding.
