Applications are now open for Baltic Sustainability Awards 2022 to celebrate the innovators, changemakers, and leaders in sustainability.
They aspire to highlight and honour the brightest minds and leading-edge achievements in sustainability innovation. The Awards bring together Baltic business leaders, GreenTech startups, organizations, and aspiring individuals to salute their triumphs and innovations in sustainability.

- Impact: Changes, improvements or additions to business processes, services, product or R&D that reduces the negative impact on the environment, further sustainable (think the social and governance aspect as well) business practices or creates long-term stakeholder value by focusing on the environmental dimensions of doing business.

- Innovation: The most promising cutting-edge innovation in sustainability or GreenTech area developed by an enterprise or startup. Innovation by an enterprise or a sustainability startup itself that has a positive environmental impact at its core that aims to use technology and science to create solutions to global sustainability problems, from plastic waste to renewable energy.

Eligibility Criteria
- Baltic Sustainability Awards (the Awards) is an awards process created to identify and recognize large and small to medium-sized enterprises, NGOs or public sector organizations, startups, and outstanding individuals contributing to the Baltic region’s sustainability and innovation development.
- To be eligible for participation in the Awards, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Impact and Innovation categories: Enterprise must be registered in Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia (or, if unregistered, have their principal place of business in one/multiple of previously mentioned countries). If the enterprise operates in all Baltic countries, it can apply at the Baltic level. The same rules apply to other potential applicants: organizations, public institutions, NGOs, startups.
- Changemaker categories: individuals must be actively involved in promoting sustainability in particularly Baltic region countries.

- 3 finalists selected in each sub-category by the Impact Jury, announced on Nov 9
- Finalist pitches at Awards ceremony on Nov 30
- Winners chosen during Awards ceremony on Nov 30 by Jury
- Innovation
- chosen during Awards ceremony on Nov 30 by Jury
- Changemaker
- 3 finalists selected in Baltic state by the Changemaker Jury, announced on Nov 9
- Public voted for their winners between Nov 9 and Nov 30
- Winners announced during Awards ceremony on Nov 30
