Deadline: 17-Jan-22
The Eleven women Ambassadors, together with 13 women leaders from the United Nations in Thailand, have launched the 2022 edition of the #AmbassadorForADay competition to advance gender equality in Thailand.
On the occasion of the forthcoming International Women’s Day 2022, they want YOU to be the voice of a healthier future for women and girls.
The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March, 2022 (IWD 2022) is, “Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all. However, candidates may submit their entries either on climate action or in any other area of interest and where they are contributing to their communities on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- Gender equality and climate change are two inseparable issues facing today’s society.
- Every day, women are disproportionately impacted by climate change and its devastating consequences.
- Yet, as the most affected, women are also critical to rapid responses and prevention.
- Every day, inspiring and resilient women are at the forefront of protecting the planet.
