Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Energy Innovation Lab Program is a startup incubation and acceleration initiative designed to support entrepreneurs driving Lebanon’s clean energy transition. It empowers early-stage innovators to develop, test, and scale renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions that tackle urgent local energy challenges.
The program supports bold thinkers by providing hands-on assistance, market validation, and strong connections to help startups turn ideas into real-world impact. This includes creating jobs, powering communities, and accelerating Lebanon’s shift to clean energy.
Startups can receive up to $25,000 in funding to develop their innovations and grow. They also benefit from expert one-on-one coaching and mentorship to refine strategies and address technical challenges. The program offers access to labs and equipment for building, testing, and validating energy solutions. Additional support includes workshops and introductions to help launch and scale businesses, along with pitch refinement and financial guidance to connect with investors and clients.
The program is structured in two phases. The first is a six-month incubation journey from October 2025 to March 2026. This includes onboarding and orientation to meet mentors and set goals, customer discovery to refine value propositions, prototype development in labs, pilot testing to gather feedback, go-to-market strategy workshops, and ends with a Demo Day to pitch to investors and celebrate progress.
The second phase is a four-month acceleration journey from May to August 2026. It consists of a seven-sprint process focusing on product adjustments, legal setup, buyer access, team building, pitch polishing, financial preparation, and scaling plans. Five startups receive up to $25,000 grants to fuel growth. Mentorship continues with legal clinics, sales workshops, and investor rehearsals. Market access is provided through live buyer meetings, letters of intent, and a Demo Day spotlight to attract investors.
By the end, startups are investment-ready, legally sound, customer-validated, and have a clear path to scale. Eligible applicants must focus on renewable energy or energy efficiency, be early-stage startups with an idea, prototype, or MVP, and have teams with complementary skills and relevant expertise. They must be based in Lebanon and committed to addressing local energy challenges. Concepts should show product-market fit or strong potential to validate, and business models should aim for lasting environmental and social impact.
