Deadline: 31-Aug-2025
The Amphibian Ark offers grants to support conservation projects focused on amphibian species that are no longer safe in the wild. These grants primarily support ex situ (off-site) conservation efforts and are expected to work in coordination with relevant field activities.
These grants are aimed at newly launched ex situ rescue projects. Funding is available for a period of 1 to 3 years. In the first year, selected projects may receive up to US$7,000. If the project meets its goals and required reports are submitted on time, additional funds of up to US$5,000 may be awarded in the second year, and up to US$3,000 in the third year.
Applicants must submit a project timeline, ideally extending beyond the grant period. This document can be uploaded as part of the application.
Three support letters are required. One must come from the applicant’s institution, confirming awareness of the project and commitment to providing resources, time, and space to carry it out. The other two letters must be endorsements from recognized conservation experts at organizations not involved in the proposed project.
A project budget must also be submitted, clearly separating the amount requested from Amphibian Ark and funds expected from other sources. All financial details should be presented in U.S. dollars.
