The City of Burnside is seeking applications for its Environment Awards.
The annual Environment Awards celebrate excellence and sustainability practices within the community by showcasing the local champions who have demonstrated a substantial environmental impact.
Award Categories
- Environmental Action Champion
- For an action, project or initiative which has a positive impact on the environment.
- Examples may include leading an environmental group, promoting environmental sustainability, rescuing injured native animals, improving eco-efficiency in their home, restoring or protecting bushland on their property.
- Open to an individual or group.
- Inspiring Garden
- An inspiring garden offers a place to unwind and connect with nature or demonstrates a contribution to sustainable initiatives such as habitat creation or production of organic produce.
- Open to any garden within the City of Burnside that inspires you.
- Young Environmentalist Award
- An individual or group (under the age(s) of 25) who have made a significant contribution to raising the awareness of environmental issues and improving the environment in Burnside.
- May also include a sustainable initiative delivered by a student or group of students from a school located within the City of Burnside.
