Procter & Gamble presents the Plastics Recycling Challenge 2020 looking out for ideas that can help achieve P&G’s Sustainability Ambition 2030 goals and be compliant with Government of India’s Plastic Waste Management rules.
Procter & Gamble’s pledge for sustainability is “Force for Good and a Force for Growth” with environmental sustainability as a key strategy in the business plans.
Currently, P&G follows an EPR model for waste management & is on the lookout for innovative solutions that can not only help achieve Sustainability Goals but also deliver revenue generation.
Scope
The solution could include better process of:
- Collection of plastic waste
- Segregation of plastic waste
- Investment in capital for waste processing/recycling
Outcomes
- Ideas to enable 2030 P&G Sustainability goals while delivering business results – both short and long term
- Cost Benefit analysis of all ideas proposed
- NPV calculation clearly indicating the funding needs & yearly savings/revenue generation
Solution Must Haves and Deal Breakers:
- Solution should have revenue generation model for P&G
- Proposals should also include guarantees/assurances to protect claimed savings
- Proposals should be checked for adherence to prevalent local and national regulations
