Deadline: 06-Oct-2025
The British Embassy in Panama has opened a Call for Proposals under the “Open Data for Green Growth Fund,” aimed at civil society organisations in Panama.
This opportunity is crafted to help local entrepreneurs, NGOs, and community groups strengthen sustainable business practices by using public data more effectively. The theme this round focuses on biodiversity, biotechnology potential, and ecosystem services.
Eligible organisations must be legally registered in Panama and have experience working in sustainable entrepreneurship or green growth. Special attention is given to proposals that include women, youth, Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, and persons with disabilities. The fund offers up to USD $10,000 per proposal, for projects spanning from December 2025 until March 2026.
Proposals should include introductory training on using open data within sustainable business models, the production of a policy paper highlighting gaps in current data and how they affect sustainable innovation policy, and inclusive engagement with stakeholders across the innovation ecosystem. A communications plan to share outcomes, and a final report with lessons learned, are also required.
This fund represents a chance for Panamanian organisations to leverage open data for environmental innovation, promote inclusive participation, and influence policy towards greener growth.
