ClimateLaunchpad is the largest green business ideas competition with a mission to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change. ClimateLaunchpad is a climate and cleantech-focused start-up competition successfully running in 57 countries.

The Climate Collective Foundation runs the ClimateLaunchpad program in India & South Asia. Since 2017, they have grown the program from a pilot in India (Maharashtra) with 12 startups to last year, where they supported 120 cleantech startups in India and South Asia.

  • The winner of the Global Grand Final will receive €10,000, the runner-up will receive €5,000, and the third-place idea will receive €2,500.
  • The top 16 teams chosen by the jury in the semi-finals to compete in the Global Grand Final, will have direct access to the ClimateLaunchpad Accelerator.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Anyone with a green business idea and dreaming of becoming an entrepreneur can enter the competition. This green idea can be about an all-out mind shift in urban mobility, a sustainable transition in the food chain or any other way to tackle climate change. The idea can still be on the back of a napkin.
  • Anyone with a promising cleantech idea, being a start-up, SME, researcher, student, public organization, consultant, engineering company, a combination of these or anyone else.
  • You can only enter in your own country.
  • You cannot enter ClimateLaunchpad if you’ve already been accepted into EIT Climate-KIC Accelerator or have participated in ClimateLaunchpad (or the former CleanLaunchpad) with the same business idea in a previous year.
  • You can only enter if:
    • You have not yet started a business or your company has been incorporated for less than a year (definition: your legal entity does not exist for more than 1 year)
    • You have attracted less than € 200.000 in investment (definition: no funding as a venture. Funding as a student is not counted)
    • You have not yet sold products, solutions or prototypes on commercial terms.
